House in a box is a concept that aims to provide every Swazi the opportunity to build and own a home. House in a box is a saving scheme, which provides three fixed building plans, including a bed sitter, one bedroom and two bedroom house. House in a box allows one to contribute a stipulated amount on a monthly basis, depending on the house plan of choice.
One of the advantages of such a scheme is that it helps you to buy what you only need. It helps you to avoid buying materials in excess thus preventing wastage and theft. Such a scheme will not stress you as a house developer as you can build your house at your own pace.
Three house plan options including a bedsitter, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom house. A sale agreement contract between Hardware Solutions and the client will be provided and signed, after which the client will receive their house in box booklet which includes the following;
- 3D drawing of the house being paid for
- House drawings
- Material list, listed according to the order of collection
- Images of the items being paid for e.g. lights and floor tiles
- House in a box information sheet
